THE STONE FOUNDATION,

a society of individuals involved with and/or interested in
stone, stonework, and stone art, presents this the third in
a series of such gatherings. The objectives ainteresting and
informative presentations, lively discourse, camaraderie.

Speakers include experienced and knowledgeable stonemasons,
dry stone wallers, architects, landscape architects,
engineers, artists, historians and restoration and
conservation specialists from Canada, England, France,
Japan, Poland, Scotland and the United States.

Their presentations and the ensuing dialogue among artisans
and design professionals, contractors artists and others
should stimulate a greater awareness of the practical,
theoretical, technical, and, not least, the aesthetic
qualities of stonework.

The program has been designed to explore various areas of
involvement with stone. It also has an educational component
with the theme, STONEWORK IN ARCHITECTURE. THE STONE
FOUNDATION is an AIA approved provider of Continuing
Educational Credit (AIA/CES # Z206). Architects and
Landscape architects will be able to accrue as many as 12 LU
Credit Hours depending on attendance time.

STONEMASONS, STONE SUPPLIERS AND ARCHITECTS : please inform
each other about this event - and about the Stone Foundation
and its periodical publication, STONEXUS magazine.

A collaborative stonework/art is also being planned that
will demonstrate the artistic potential of the craft.
