chisels for fine carving
i think the solution for you,should be good quality wood
working tools. if you work only with the softer stones.
another thing that can woork well for you,is a set of files
with diferent shapes.
you can find them in any "sculpture house" & they can be
very usefull working manualy on smal pieces the way yuo do.
