Subject:
rifflers and sulphuric acid
I'm repeating this request as I think I messed up the reply system last time.
I'm looking for cheap(er) rifflers and files for harder stones such as marble, that don't wear out too quickly. I'm especially interested in sourcing these in Ireland, or failing that, the UK. I have used Tiranti until now, but their files and rifflers seem to wear out very quickly, and are expensive.
Also, someone mentioned that you can get rifflers etc sharp again by putting them in a bath of sulphuric acid. Can you tell me how long they need to go in for and where you can get the acid please?
Thanks
Jane
