Alabaster mounting rods
Gary,
Indoors there should be no problem. Outdoors the only potential problem is
that aluminum is prone to pitting corrosion in a damp environment. The
alabaster will serve as a source of sulfate that may stimulate this kind of
corrosion. However, alabaster will suffer from roughening of the surface in a
damp environment, so you probably don't want to put highly finished piece
outdoors anyway. Steatite shouldn't be a problem.
