hand carving memorials
I am hoping to start carving memorials in the not too distant future and am wondering what stones might weather best for this purpose, perhaps aside from granite as I don't think I'm ready to work it yet. I carve with traditional hand tools and live in the prairies of Canada and our most locally quarried stone is not appropriate.
