Wedges
Some time ago I read the remnants of a thread in the archives that dealt =
with alternatives to plugs & feathers for splitting stone. This method =
suggested making cuts in the stone with a diamond blade to a depth of 1 =
to 3 inches, and then taping in wedges made from spring steel to force =
the crack along the axis of the cut.
Can anyone suggest a design for these wedges? What size, shape, taper =
etc. Any help would be appreciated.
