smoothing marble
I've been carving different grades of sandstone for about 25 years. For
removing chisel marks and smoothing I use different grades of grinding
wheels used for metal. Find a machine shop or fabrication shop and see if
they let you have old worn out grinding wheels. I break them, or score them
and break them into different shapes.
Works great and I have never purchased a smoothing tool.
