How do granite carving techniques differ from softer stones?
I have just two tools to add to the already excellent description of tooling
granite.
1. After the bush tool, one can use a cup chisel to further smooth the
surface.
2. If creating a niche or any smooth concavity into the granite, one can
finish with a gently arching, wide (2") carbide chisel which will give a
very smooth surface.
