How to mount on rod and base size
Geri,
based on the information you provided, should be at least a couple of inches
larger in diameter then your piece. If the piece stands solidly on its own
then the base may be kept to a minimum, but if it is very small at the
bottom and leans, then you will have to experiment with the size and weight
of the base to counterbalance your pieces tendencies to fall over.
