Moving Large Stones
A little while ago someone on the list (I'm too lazy to check the
archives to find out who) asked about erecting a small scale standing
stone structure, similar to stonehenge. I recently saw an article on
Discovery channel about a fellow near Flint Michigan who is doing
something similar without using modern equipment. I did a search and
found the following web site, where he seems to be selling some sort of
instructional CD:
http://www.theforgottentechnology.com/
I don't know if this will be of any help to anyone, and I don't have the
expertise to comment on the validity of this guy's methods. One
interesting remark he made during the interview was that moving large
stones is a potentially dangerous activity and that he had been knocked
unconscious on one occasion.
But hey, what's a stone circle without a little human sacrifice, right?

Steve Kloster
