What chisels to buy initially for a pneumatic tool
I am in the process of purchasing my first set of pneumatic tools for use on
granite and marble. (Hand tools are great, but I need to speed up the
process) For granite, I am purchasing a 1-inch Dallet hammer. For marble
(and finish work on granite) I am purchasing a 3/4 inch short stroke (B)
hammer. My question is this: What chisels should I purchase initially?
What chisel types have you found to be most used, most indispensable? There
are oh-so-many different options out there, I would like to choose wisely.
My initial thoughts would be:
1) Point chisel
2) A four or nine point chisel (the square, waffle-textured ones)
3) A flat, cleanup chisel
4) A tooth chisel with perhaps four (?) teeth (any suggestions on width and # of teeth?)
Am I missing anything?
I have come to admire and value everyone's advice so much over the past
months. Thanks for all your contributions, I would really appreciate your
input on this matter.
Thanks,
Tim Bunton
