Titles
Wow, I never used to worry much about titles but now you've mad me nervous ;
) I didn't realize I was giving away so much personal information with each
title. I like to think of a general concept that relates to the piece and
use a word or phrase for that concept. I figure the less specific the title,
the more room for individual interpretation.
Lately, I've tended to give pieces boring, descriptive titles like "White
Cats" for an alabaster piece depicting white cats. I did this out of a fear
that perhaps I had been using names that could be considered trite or
cutesy. I think, though, that maybe this was a step too far in the opposite
direction.
