Moving Large Stones
Hi all,
I promised to comment on Wallace Wallington's production of 'The Forgotten
Technology' which arrived here in Brisbane within two weeks of placing the
order.
Wallace demonstrates the use of forgotten technology to single-handedly
shift monoliths without assistance from wheels, rollers or metal levers. The
70-minute creation examines his preparation, tools and handling methods. A
'home-spun' feel pervades this unusual video, particularly as Wallace
operates the recording equipment at the same time as narrating and starring
in the lead role!
Although he has room for many helpers, and accepts only nominal help from
family members, Wallace's demonstration that he can operate unaided
vindicates my belief that Ancient Builders had complete mastery over their
materials and tools without recourse to 'superior' technology from Mars!
I will be using Wallace's video to help my students 'think around the
corner' when we are discussing safe manual handling and load slinging.
Many thanks to Stephen Kloster for bring Wallace and his activities to out
attention. Have a preview yourself at:

Simon Brown
