Unforbidden geology
Hi Paul
It is always a humbling experience to read through Archae Solenhofen's
pages. I bought Dieter Arnold's book a few years ago for my students- it too
is an excellent classroom tool. I constantly struggle to keep traditional
skills current in the context of modern technology and work organisation, so
I'm always searching for material that humanises Ancient stone experts.
Did you check out the link to 'In the Hall of Maat'? It's huge. Hope you
didn't find the discussion on drilling holes too boring.
Simon
