The only relevant title that I can suggest is:
Gothic Design Techniques, The Fifteenth Century Design Booklets of
Mathes Roriczer and Hanns Schmuttermayer by L.R. Shelby
pub. Carbondale 1977

I've been looking for this book for awhile, it is out of print and
difficult to find. Maybe someone else on the list could locate it.

There is always: Ten Books on Architecture by Vitruvius (circa 1-10 b.c.)
it's all about Greco/Roman building fundamentals, yet these books
remain sound in principle today regarding the use of solid masonry.
