Suppliers for stone for letter carving
Tom Perkins will be in the mountains of NC to teach a beginning workshop
on letter carving in April of this year. (The workshop is full, but you
can get on the waiting list by contacting tetascribe[AT]aol.com )
I need to supply the budding letter carvers with stone. Any suggestions
for sources in the USA would be most appreciated. Eastern/Southeastern
sources would be preferred to save on shipping costs.
Mr Perkins has sent this: "Re. stone, any sandstone, limestone or slate
should be OK, I can try small samples if you care to send them,
otherwise
anything recommended by your letter cutting friends will be fine."
