Carving Raised Letting in Georgia Marble
Bill,
I agree with William Moore - sandblasting deeply around the outline of the
letters will be an efficient way to set out the inscription.
Follow it up though, with a hand or air chisel to give a hand-textured
appearance.
Set the plaque in plaster on a heavy stone or concrete slab to help absorb
the stress of chiselling.
