Cuturi air hammer oil
There is oil made specifically for air tools, that keeps the tools
lubricated but less likely to gum up and stop. It does make a difference.
Hope this is not redundent!
I had my good 1" hammer start quitting on me, and after much oiling, and
banging on the table, I discovered that the top of the hammer had vibrated
loose about 3/4 of a turn. It felt tight but by using a wrench, I
retightened it and my attitude improved markedly!
Good luck,
George Graham
