Cuturi air hammer
Hi Elaine,
I wish there were more females in the stone industry. I attended college as
an apprentice with 2 sisters who are still running their family business. I
know some women that have taken up stone carving and are very talented, but
there is a definite male-only atmosphere in the monumental and building
industry. I have seen this fog lift when a woman proves her ability- a male
thing, not directed against women, it's just how men bounce off each other.
Most women I know in these situations know how to handle men (including me!)
and let the man think any good idea was first thought up by Himself!
Women I have worked with are much more level-headed and insightful than
males, who tend to act with bravado and refuse to listen to reason for fear
of losing face. Males obviously have a physical advantage in terms of
stamina and strength, but sometimes rely on brute force instead of thinking
a problem through.
Don't be too afraid of damaging your air tool, I know they are expensive but
they are designed to be worked hard.
Simon
