tungsten for granite working
Do you use tungsten tips for your limestone work?
Walter's using tempered steel. (this is with Indiana or Kansas limestone;
with softer limestones, like Texas Cream)
now It really depend on the limestone you are working with. There is a
quarry near Quebec city called St Marc and the limestone comming out of
there need the carbide. Also when I was in the Jura(france) all the east
side facing Switzeland also have a really hard limestone that would'nt work
without the carbide tips. Just too hard. there might be some other hard
limestone out there, check before going with your good fire tempered set of
tools. I always keep a set for each.
