tungsten for granite working
I'm with Thomas, this stuff is confusing, and it seems so simple it
shouldn't be! Maybe only experience will teach?
But some questions anyway: If tungsten carbide is so tough (tough
enough for granite!) why don't they hold an edge like steel does on the
softer stones? This seems contradictory.
Also, you say that your new tungsten tools are specified for granite,
yet also used for hard and soft stones. Why for the soft ones too if
steel will do, and apparently do better? Or do you mean harder and
softer forms of granite?
