marble sculpting work bench & Stacy Shure
Good thinking Clive!
The TAFE workshop that I look after has a low ceiling and an odd shape, so
instead of a ceiling gantry (which would be useful) I use a 2 tonne fork
truck, with extension slippers and a lifting beam. It's worth a full-time
man all year, and 10 men other times.
I've started making heavy-duty bankers, only able to be shifted with the
fork truck. I cut 200 litre oil drums in half, or 2/3 and 1/3 and fill them
with concrete, leaving a slot for the lifting tine to slip into. They get
stacked up on a pallet when they are not being used.
