bankers, lifting, fire sharpening
Another idea for a banker is cindercrete blocks. They can be adjusted for
height (although manually) and are very solid.
George, what was used in your monument days for placing the monument in the
cementary? It is something I'm looking into right now as I'm starting to
carve monuments myself, but haven't placed any yet. I have a hydraulic table
so far, but will also be getting a shop crane I believe, as I'm working out
of my garage and am not sure about the I-beam idea in there.
Also, I am reading the book "Stone Mad" right now, and in it the term "fire
sharpened" tools is used a lot. Can someone tell me what this means?
p.s. all the conversations lately have been SO useful to me as I convert my
garage into a reasonable carving space. THANKS to everyone!!
Karen
