setting monuments
Karen,
Setting monuments is best done by 2 people using a setters hand truck. Its
the most important tool to have when moving and setting monuments. Its much
larger and built to handle most standard size stones. They roll on four air
filled tires, and have a brake lever to keep the load under control when
going down a hill or backing down a ramp off a truck. There are wheels up on
the handles so you can lay the truck down and roll it like a wagon. If you
are going to be setting your own jobs, then you really need one.
Let me know if you need a long distance course on setting. If you can, try
to go along with an experienced crew and watch how its done. Setting is not
that hard, but there are some major do's and don'ts that you need to be
aware of. Its easier to learn by watching then by reading about it.
I'll be glad to get into more detail , just let me know.
George
