dust extraction
hi simon - i was just reading the conversation archives when i got your
email, thank you - i've found an answer i like to one of my questions,
written by Walter Arnold in 1998:
"It all depends on what stone you're using. I stick with limestones and
white marble which are both around 99% pure calcium carbonate, the dust is
non-abrasive. I've known many limestone and marble carvers who never used a
mask and were still carving into their late 80's and early 90's."
as to my question regarding methods/equipment for dust extraction from a
small studio, i'm hoping i'll get a response from some of our seasoned pros
in stone work and equipment ... thanks for your help -
edie
