Green Man Yule Marble
Norman, Colorado Yule marble has some good green in it. Pure pale minty green
pieces are available, but are very choice. More common is green figuring in a very
white ground. The green can be very stong but is in a small proportion to the
white; fair weatther cirrus on a sunny day. They can be very dramatic though and
come in isolated bands. Its all good marble, though you have to pay attention to
the bedding plane for it can cleave but is very stout with the grain. The quarry
manager likes carvers and sells for $70 a foot depending on the grade, if you show
up at the quarry. I can't find the quarry manager's phone at the moment. They have
an office at 303-771-9610 though they may ask a higher price.
