Subject:
natural unfinished stone bases- how to finish and protect them
First thanks to all for all the wonderful information.
I want to use as a base a rough stone with an irregular base ( like the
natural stone) and I am wondering how to make the stone look clean and what
to put underneath to protect whatever surface it rests on ( table,
pedestal..) I know the marble bases have a felt and I was wondering if I can
use that but how to glue it to the irregular underside of the base.
Is it a good idea to use diluted muriatic acid to clean the stone? I tend to
like unfinished stones as part of the sculpture and they look to whitish....
Do I get the felt from a fabric store?
Thanks for any help. I love this group.
