Marble: the stony truth...
Tim,
Thank you very much. You speak of these matters with great understanding,
clarity and simplicity. It is a joy to read your words. So then how does
veining come to be oriented in planar layers throughout a marble formation,
as it is in the Yule? The Yule, being known as "weak along the bedding
plane", has veining running in the same orientation as the formation. I
cannot speak geology!
