beginners tools in Oz
Hi Clive,
I usually keep a set of Chinese-made chisels and punches in my kit in case I
need to chip some concrete, or loan a chisel to someone. I get the set from
Super-Cheap auto for about $30 and then sharpen them. They are not good
quality, but will hold an edge for a while.
I have been buying 'indestructibles' (granite working tungsten-tipped tools)
from Wm. Ashcroft at Oakleigh for the past few years - phone Bernice on 9568
2344.
What stone are you working? Have you thought of getting some tool steel and
working it into points & chisels?
Regards,
Simon
