4" Diamond Blades
I am an amateur stone mason, and have been using 4" diamond blades to score
and cut various kinds of native stone. I have wore out enough blades to
realize they are not all the same. The packages or labels do not state how
many diamonds there are in a blade. I recently polished the cutting edge on
a very poor blade, and a good blade, and using a magnifier, I counted the
diamonds. The good blade had 80 diamonds showing. The poor blade had 36.
The poor blade had spaces as much as 3/4" between diamonds. That can't be
good The Black and Decker blades cost twice what I have been paying, but
maybe they are a good buy. I can't find any specifications to help me.
Does anyone have some advice. Other than, stop being so cheap.
