transferring drawing onto stone
Hi Karen,
One old trick I know of is to mix up a very watery, thin mix of plaster of
paris and water. Brush in on the polished stone. When it dries, you can draw
on it with a regular lead pencil.
Granite City Tool sells a commonly used yellow crayon for marking on
polished stone. I think the brand is General Markers. It dosen't do well
when the stone is wet from condensation. Covering the area to be carved with
rubber stencil works well for transfering a design.
Hope this helps
George
