Jane Armstrong book
Hello George,
Jane Armstrong book sounds interesting. Thanks for mentioning it. Have you
seen the work of Erastus Dow Palmer, the superb self taught sculptor from
your state, but upstate in the previous century? There is a pretty good
book on his work. Wow! If you have any interest in the human figure. He
apparently has a ton of work in Albany.

Other internet musings through this site have led me to the stone foundation
and Thomas Lipps, which is interesting in itself with its magazine and all,
Stonexus, but it led me to Goodwood sculpture park in England, which has an
amazing array of very interesting work. In turn I discovered Peter Randall-
Page whose work I am so glad exists. Large scale, simple ideas built very
much out of the process of carving.

While on book and in the realm of granite, Jesus Morales is coming out with
a book this summer. He has an exciting approach to stone and an
invigorating story or artistic and financial success.
