wandering off down an alleyway - gloves
This list is great because it's a verbal piss-up without the
alcohol............I go into my work area in the morning (when I'm lucky
enough to have a block of time to allocate to stone fun stuff) and my
fingerless gloves are the first thing to attend to. They stay on all day,
and I can't imagine working without them. I used to put up with regular
leather full-finger gloves with the finger tips cut off until the local
building suppliers started stocking finger-tipless work gloves with padded
palms, with the ends of the fingers stitched to keep the leather from
splaying out until I looked like a Dickensian street urchin. Like any stone
technoid, my opinion is humble but fervent: Gloves are mandatory and the
tool mods mentioned previously are all useful, too.
In a non-related mode, does anyone on this list remember the discussion
about 3-D rendering software and the sites of companies that offer software
for this purpose? I am working with some ideas for laminated marble
furniture and I would appreciate some feedback on the websites previously
mentioned........the archiving mechanism is a little slow.........
Thanks,
Chaz
