Trigger finger
Simon,
That sounds about right. Good to know that you were able to beat it. I
went to your website recommendation;a very good graphic look at the
mechanism of the disease (affliction?).
Mine got bad a few years ago, and the sports medicine guy at Virginia
Tech wanted to operate on my wrist to relieve the stricture in the nerve
channel, but I nixed that in favor of the cortisone injections. Glad I
did, as after a few months of ice and babying it got better. The shots
are not a quick fix, but I figured I'd chance that before letting some
knee surgeon to the football heroes root around in my wrist. I've
learned the signs of a flare up, and icing the wrist down for a couple
of days, and some advil for the inflammation, seems to do the trick.
Now if there were only a shot for my imagination!
