Simon: You made my day.....Thanks a bunch. And thank you also for the links
to some great sites regarding the decay mechanism of calcareous stones. I
restore this stuff on a public and commercial scale to support the fun
stuff, and I thought that I was fairly well informed. The best thing about
this group is the new and unexpected sources of information....I would never
have considered butter and sugar, for example.......
