enlarging
Here are some references to books with chapters/sections on enlarging.
Lanteri, Modelling and sculpting the human figure has a discussion of
calculating a template for making scale measurements.
Tuck Langland in From Clay to Bronze has a helpful description of several
methods of changing scales. (In fact if you can weld it may be easy to build
the box frame he shows that could be used for a particular project)
In Sculpture in Stone by Josepmaria Teixido i Cami there is a good
description of the use of calipers for enlarging.
Another book that describes using calipers (but very confusingly in my
opinion) is Il mestiere del marmista by Gabriele Rovai (in english and
italian).
BTW, thanks to Stone Spider for the links to webpages that describe
enlargement.
