polishing birdbaths
Bergie,
A high polish can be achieved using a buff pad with tin oxide + some elbow
grease
After 800 grit I use 1500 and 3000, followed by a buff pad with a slurry of
tin oxide (putty powder) with some iron oxide (cement colour) colouring the
slurry to match the granite background.
Your abrasive supplier should stock tin oxide or something similar.
