slate characteristics
Hi Dallas. Can tell you one thing for sure, there is a world of
difference between slate and Quartzite. Quartzite , which is a
metamorphic sandstone, is probably one of the hardest and most
abrasive stones there is, and probably not something you'd want
to begin letter carving on unless you had good carbide tipped
chisels. JVC
