polishing stone birdbaths
I checked the web site and that would be an ambitious project. On my
birdbaths I am able to carve out a fairly uniform bowl with a diamond = saw
that I use. At that point matching up to ball with the bowl becomes one = of
getting the right ball dimension so there is a good fit. At least that = is
how I see the problem. Gas powered diamond bladed saws can be controlled
fairly well and I tend to let the blade do most of the finish work. The
other way would be to make a gig and suspend the saw so that blade depth
could be better controlled.
