what is price of slate around country?

A thought occurred to me regarding slate. all good pool tables have perfect
pieces of slate under the felt. There are companies that specialize in
installing good tables, and maybe they could be a source for you. The
pieces I've seen were perfectly flat, and cut about 3\4" thick. They might
have some damaged pieces around that you could use.
