slate and ?
Bill,
Most definately.....horizontal stripes are bad news !! Actually, since I
have worked so much in alabaster ( which a lot has stripes) I have found
ways to camoflage the stripes.
I have had a certain piece in mind that I wanted to do but didn't have any
stone I felt would do it justice....then along comes Cecil and his hammer !!
I am paying $20cu ft . Even Bill Snow has to pay the same price !! My
brown limestone piece ( 5 cu ft) plus another small piece were only
$120....for both. And that Sirocco piece would run close to 1200. All in
all I'd say we are getting the bargins of a lifetime !
Before you buy a bigger truck......maybe look into having a local trucking
co load up a flatbed out at the yard and haul it home for you. Might cost a
whole lot less than a new truck !
And yes Carthage, Missouri has it's share of colorful characters and unique
restaurants !
