Stone handling and transport: hire or own?
<Own or hire out?
I've driven my poor old 1-tonne Toyota tray-back ute nearly into the ground
(435 000 km - can't kill it!), and I've always used a 1-tonne folding shop
crane to load and unload it when there is no other equipment available.
For anything heavier than my truck can carry, I hire a crane truck or a
crane. I don't want to drive a big truck all the time, particularly when a
lot of my work has been in city buildings with limited parking space. Leave
the cranage and haulage to the experts!
