sawing
Does anybody know if there is such a thing as a diamond coated, or
carbide coated, hand saw - like a long crosscut saw similar to what a
logger would use on wood? I'm trying to cut a 6" slab off a big block
of marble, and didn't want to do the usual cut around the perimeter with
a grinder blade and pry off. That way never breaks clean, and I didn't
want to end up with a big crater in the cut surface.
I figured that with a long diamond hand saw, it might take alot of
effort, but I could get a smooth flat cut on the slab. I have searched
the web for days, and have seen nothing longer than hacksaw length blades.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Bill Marsh
