sawing
When I was growing up in rural Nova Scotia in the early sixties I
remember watching a guy cutting logs in his front yard with a big old
circular blade from a saw mill that he powered off the rear wheel of a
jacked up truck via a belt. The whole rig was a temporary contraption
slapped together for the purpose with wood and a few bits from around
the farm. I have no idea where you'd get a belt but used blades can be
obtained from small saw mills.
