Electric Tools
Tim,
A lot of people I know do take the guard off their grinder when it is new
and never replace it. I don't myself, and I think they are crazy. I have
seen the results of hot blade segments embedding themselves in flesh.
As for larger diameter blades fitted to smaller machines, this is absolute
craziness because the smaller machines spin faster than the larger ones.
Pick a less painful way to die.

Usually, when responding to some of the posts, I delete the entire
msg......I have left this here because this is serious.
Obviously Simon has seen what we can not even imagine........
I have to admit I, too, have removed the guard and put on a blade larger
than should be. Truth be known.....it scares me to death....AND......it's
only a 4 1/2 inch blade on something made for a 4 inch one....call me a wuss
or whatever....
Some of you say the blades can remove flesh .........I can't concentrate on
my piece because I'm too worried about cutting off my fingers ! Losing
flesh is the least of my worries !!
When you use saftey glasses do you remove the lenses........
When you use ear protection do you remove the sound barriers.........
Think about it........it's just not worth it........
