Mason's mark
I have been recycling stone pulled from a building undergoing restoration,
and found some mason's marks carved into the stones' bed joints. They are
about 140 years old, and consist of shapes like a Star of David, crossed
hockey sticks and an arrow.
Do any StoneListers have knowledge of mason's marks in local buildings from
early years?
Simon
