Sawing, Grinding, Dinner, Blondeness and Philosophy
Simon,
I've been following this sawing, grinding thread and am probably butting in
unnecessarily but it sounds like a lot of these questions (gfi etc) are
addressed by a magazine I subscribe to called Stone World. Perhaps it's
already used as a source by many of those on this forum, but if not be sure
to check it out. Stone World is a trade mag for the dimensional stone
industry......quarry operations, block suppliers, countertop fabricators
etc. Lots of stuff ranging from wet and dry hand grinders to huge cnc
machines. Although I myself am a gem-cutter (doing an occasional larger
carving) I find the ads for tooling an incredibly valuable resource. Before
stumbling across this publication I was woefully ignorant of the size of the
stone industry and the number of individuals who deal on a daily basis with
large chunks of rock.
