I would think a GFI outlet, or plug, would be essential.
I, for one, am still nervous around water and elecrical tools. I wouldn't
splash water onto the tool itself. The GFI will only protect from surges or
shocks that affect the line - not parts like the motor and such. I would
believe there is still some risk, but I don't know. Too risky for me, I'd
rather go with an electric tool that is specfically made to withstand some
contact with water (water fed on the Suhner for example, or water fed
electric grinder made by Flex).
