Kentucky Slate
Hello all,
Last week I had a chance to pick up some local slate from a spot where the
landowners are bulldozing a hillside. I took a point to a sample of the
stone, and it seems about as soft as a piece of blackboard chalk. This was
in the eastern part of Kentucky, just five or so miles south of the Ohio
River. Has anyone had any experience with this type of slate? I wonder if it
is usable.
