holding air hammers
I'm taking a course in stone carving which includes using air hammers.
We are taught to hold the hammer like a pencil, which works fine.
However, after about 4 hrs my right (hammer) hand starts to get pretty
tired. I've been told not to over grip, and I think I don't. Also, my
hands are reasonably strong from climbing and a generally active life
style. Am I still doing something wrong or is getting tired after that
time to be expected for what is still a relatively unaccustomed
activity for me? Is this the only good way to hold the hammer?
